This past winter a couple of my buddies and I took a trip in my vintage Willys Jeepster into the Adirondack mountains and hiked up a small prominence, spending the night in a lean-to. So we used it as a make-shift ice scraper. Unfortunately he was wrong about it causing scratches. It scratched the heck out of the windshield. It’s pretty much ruined now and Glenn has offered to pay for it. I looked up the hardness of both Aluminum and Glass and Glenn is correct. Glass is indeed much harder than Aluminum. What went wrong?
There was no dirt on it. We made sure of that.
