There is stuff you can buy that you put on the stain and it soaks up the oil. It’s kinda messy cause it’s a lot like kitty litter and you have to sweep it up but from what I’ve seen it works.

I would think that gasoline would work..
soak the driveway… and let it sit for about 12 hrs.. then go outside and wash it off with the water hose… put as much pressure on one spot as you can…
and then the stains should be mostly gone… i doubt youll get it all gone though…
Pour some bleach on it and let it sit for a day. Then the next day pour some more bleach and soap on it, get a large scrub brush and scrub at it. Then rise it off with a pressure washer.
You can rent a pressure washer for about 300 bucks at Home Depot.

Any kind of degreaser. My boyfriends brother works on cars all the time. I wouldn’t use gasoline thats dangerous. You could try dawn dish liquid. Thats a degreaser. And a pressure washer. You can rent one at your local hardware store.

You need the following items. A garden hose, Dawn dishwashing detergent, a bucket and a broom. Mix the Dawn as strong as you can get it with a gallon of water. Dawn breaks oil down. Have you ever seen how environmentalist clean oil spilled birds like ducks and seagulls? They use Dawn because it cuts through grease.
I would say that gasoline is a bad idea for so many reasons. It wont remove the stain, as much as it will probably cause another stain. Then there is the fire hazard that goes with using gas to clean oil…..it probably wont work.
Sure you can use gasoline, it will break down anything that is petrolium based. but there are better and more friendly ways of cleaning a drive way. Fast Orange hand cleaner for one. just apply a little of it to the cement, use a scrub brush and rise clean. you will still have a little bit of a stain outline but most of it will be gone. Any method you use will leave a stain. If it is a heavy oiled spot, get some solvent based cement cleaner and use that. but fast Orange hand cleaner will take care of 95 % of all your drive way oil spots. Worked for me for years and we always have it on hand.
No easy way, you’ll need a gurney (high pressure water blaster) . If it is an old oil stain you may need to try some chemical cleaner first to try and lift it out of the concrete or masonry. There will be someone in the yellow pages who can do it for you for a price. I remember my friends grandfather pouring boiling water onto his driveway to remove oil stains when I was a kid. Don’t remember how successful that was, but is probably a fairly dangerous method of doing it if you have to carry the water far. Another method I have seen is to use oven cleaner on the stain. However if you leave the cleaner on for too long, the caustic starts to eat into the concrete.
Use Oven Cleaner on it. (Yep,same stuff you would use to clean the inside of an oven) It removed oil, grease, and the dark stains from the driveway.
Powdered driveway cleaner is usually the best to remove deep oil stains but usually it requires a wire brush or broom and scrubbing. Wet the area and put this stuff over the water. Let it sit and scrub and then rinse it off. A water power washer can take some of this off too but not all. Gas is very dangerous and I think it will actually spread the oil over a wider area.

In order to remove oil stains from you driveway you will have to put dry sand or soil over it and let the sand absorb the oil, after a few hour remove th sand and the oil stains are gone
Never use gasoline to clean anything. Rent a pressure washer and apply some grease removing concentrate with the supplied low pressure nozzle. Allow it to soak into the stain. After you notice some of the oil dispersing, wash away the oil using the rotary or narrow spray nozzle. You may to have to repeat this process a few times. Take care not to damage the cement with excessive pressure. Since the oil has had time to leach into the cement, you may be hard pressed to realize complete stain removal.

I use purple power degreaser mixed with laundry detergent, I mix it into a paste and scrub it into the cement, let it set for 15 minutes then wet the mixture that I applied and scrub again, on stubborn stains like transmission fluid I do this four or five times then pressure wash the area.
Also when it comes to pressure washers, electric PW’s are useless, you need a 6 hp gas 2500 PSI + @ 2.0 GPM or Higher, the 1300 PSI @ 0.7 GPM electric does not do more to oil stains than a garden hose.
