i’m tuning my new sub, it’s a JL 10w3v1 in a bandpass box.

should i set the low pass at 80 and the high pass at 125? or should they match like h=80 l=80? im using a tone generator to tune my system and when i set the HPF to 125 and the LPF to 80 then i ran the tone generator from 80 to 125 i still had a tone so im assuming it should be set at LPF=80 and HPF=125.
also, the tone is weakest at 75hz how can i fix this?
the tone is loudest at 45hz so im assuming this means the box/sub is tuned to 45hz

for the low pass set it at 80 because your sub is in a bandpass box and you wont hear any frequencies higher than 80 from it anyway, for the high pass it might sound better at 80 because it will compensate for the sub only going to 80. you will just have to play around with it to see what sounds best. a way that might work to get the tone around 75 louder is try putting the sub in diferent places or turning it backwards or upwards.
