My truck is a ’98 Silverado z71 4×4 and it’s got pretty good size tires on it. I don’t have the money to get it fixed right now but, I want to minimize the amount of damage that will be cause by it sitting in one spot and not moving like it is. It’s sitting in my driveway on concrete. The main worry I have is the tires cracking and dry rotting. Is there a way to prevent this? I thought about wetting them down every now and then, but from my understanding about rubber is this can make it crack.
Please let me know if wetting them down will help and as well ANY suggestions to minimize anything else that might have problems of the truck just sitting there.
I do want to state that I start the engine up every day and let it run for a minute. I also give the engine a rev every now and then. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
