What is the tongue weight on that trailer? To do that with that rig the tongue must be way way over normal weight. A half ton is not the ideal tow vehicle at any rate. I wouldn’t tow a large trailer with less than a 3/4 ton truck and even then I’d be careful of the tongue weight. Also, are you sure you have that weight distribution hitch adjusted properly?
