Before you see the judge you have a talk with a prosecutor. I Explained to her that this was my first offense and that I was coming from New York and had a long drive so I didn’t realize that I was going that fast. They dropped the fine to $ 50 and 1 point from 430 and 7 points. Then you can still chose if you want to except or not. If you are not happy with what they offer you then you need to get an attorney and they will reschedule you for another date. So you don’t need one for the first court appearance see what they offer you first. Good Luck
