The absolute BEST way to go is to get a head unit that has IPOD controls. But like he said shelling out the cash sucks.
You never specified what type of radio you have in your car…so assuming it is a stock radio, that device that sparky made reference to is pretty sweet. I had one of those in my car before I upgraded the stereo, and never had any problems.
Those little cigarette lighter plug in Fm Transmitters are garbage do not waste your time.
And as far as the tape adapter…I have seen them just not work. (1999 Pontiac Grand Prix…stock radio hated that thing)
